Hello,
Is it possible to get historical data of DA/SS through link explorer? what about the mozscape api?
i have seen the "Metrics over time" page, but it only shows 1 year of data.
There is a website which provides DA history for 2+ years but i'd like to use moz or it's api directly

Unsolved Links to my website are wrong

Hi, I have launch a new website, lorraine on october of 2021 and I have added it to a bunch a local and national directories to improme it local rankings. But when I get the domain authority and link data from MOZ it has only ten links and no one of them is from local/national directories. I have three questions: Do you know if it is normal that after 9 months DA is 1? Is there any problem with local/national directory links? I dont like buy links like others do but it seems the only way to improve domain authority and rankings.

What is the importance of DA for traffic when launching a website?

I am working on a new content website. Before I decide of the name and buy the domain name, I wonder if it's still worth buying an expired domain name with high(ish) DA instead of starting from scratch.

Hey Moz Community, We've noticed that there are questions about Domain Authority, what it is, and how to positively impact it. We're here to answer your questions! For a full overview, please see our help hub article here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority First, it's important to keep in mind that Domain Authority (DA) is a search engine ranking score developed by Moz that predicts how likely a website is to rank in search engine result pages (SERPs). It is not a Google ranking factor. Domain Authority scores range from one to 100, with higher scores corresponding to a greater likelihood of ranking. Since DA is based on machine learning calculations, your site's score will often fluctuate as more, fewer, or different data points become available and are incorporated into those calculations. For instance, if facebook.com were to acquire a billion new links, every other site’s DA would drop relative to Facebook’s. Because more established and authoritative domains like Facebook will have increasingly larger link profiles, they take up more of the high-DA slots, leaving less room at the higher end of the scale for other domains with less robust link profiles. Therefore, it's significantly easier to grow your score from 20 to 30 than it is to grow it from 70 to 80. For this reason, it’s important to use Domain Authority as a comparative metric rather than an absolute one. The best way to influence your DA is to improve your overall site health with a focus on the quality and quantity of external links pointing to your site. If I migrate to a new domain, does my Domain Authority score get migrated also?

For business reasons, I migrated my domain with a DA score of 85 to a new domain. After some time, the DA score on the new domain is only 45. My migration plan and redirects went smooth and all redirected with best practices in mind. I am still ranking well for almost all of the keywords where I've 301 redirected old URL to new. Any feedback welcome!

How Does Moz Assign Domain Authority?

When I use Site Explorer to test the following URL, http://jennathuening.results.net/site/index.php, it renders a domain authority of 47. (Clients site on real estate host) There are no page social metrics: no Facebook share no Facebook likes no Twitter tweets no Google+ plus 1's no "just discovered" in 60 days no one has made a post in 3 weeks much or most of the content is duplicate content across all affiliate sites inbound links - only one link - a 301 redirect http://jennathuening.results.net/ Images - 18 (Alt tags missing: 18) Created - 1998-10-15 Registered Org - REMAX RESULTS is associated with ~416 other domains Whois SEO Score 68% AND YET IT HAS A ROOT DOMAIN OF "47" and page authority of 33 More confusing, its page authority of 33 is at that top on blue background and then page 30 just listed below. When I use Site Explorer to test the following URL, http://www.homedestination.com, it renders a domain authority of 26. (Site personally owned and continually update with highly optimized fresh, relevant, quality content with grade "A" moz ranked pages and blog posts) 92 Facebook share 68 Facebook likes 13 Twitter tweets 420 Google+ plus 1's 2 "just discovered" in 60 days Images 25 (Alt tags missing: 0) inbound links - on 48 Root Domains Created - 2002-08-15 9 new indexed blog post so far in August / 19 new indexed blog post in July Whois SEO Score 100% AND YET IT HAS A ROOT DOMAIN OF "26" and page authority of 36 While I am sure there are many other factors as well; it still is hard to see where a "smaller guy" could ever be given an even opportunity to play in the same SEO arena. Could you help me understand better? I like to build a stronger marketing and optimization strategy as we are just beginning AdWord campaigns. | SEO Score | 100% |

Domain Authority Trending Down?

Hi All, Can anyone (preferably a Moz representative) explain why Domain Authority has been trending down on multiple domains? I suspect there is a new index in place? And / Or algo changes? This is making life very difficult for us as our client www.cleanawater.com.au has been working very hard to implement only the whitest of white SEO models.
