To chime in on this, DA and PA are Moz metrics, and are not only impacted by gain and loss of backlinks, but also take into consideration that of competitors. That said, there's a good chance that if you did not lose backlinks and saw a decrease, that your competitors gained backlinks during this period.

Actually, only nr 4. in your list would have an impact on Domain Authority in how Moz calculates it as it's based on the authority from links. Any ranking factors from the site or on-page optimization don't play a role in how it's calculated.

What is the importance of DA for traffic when launching a website?
I am working on a new content website. Before I decide of the name and buy the domain name, I wonder if it's still worth buying an expired domain name with high(ish) DA instead of starting from scratch.

CPA bidding advice needed please?
Morning all! I need help with my adwords budget (not a loan :-)), when I use the Google recommended CPA bid it eats my money whatever budget, (I spent £135 yesterday which is far too much.. I can keep topping it up as long as the sales keep coming in, but when i take my eyes off Google uses my budget fast. My adwords account has been tweeked by a pro since Feb 12 with 722 conversions at 10.22%. I have now taken over and personalised the campaigns (I've read many books and have 5+ years adwords experience) Anyhow here's the question; Today Google suggests a MAX CPA of £9.75 and a target of £6.72. what prices do you suggest ? I've set daily ammount at £60.00 And which option should I choose in Ad rotation; Clicks,Conversions or rotate evenly? My best ad has had 134 conversions. Crawl Rate for Lower Page Authority Websites
Hi,At thumbtack.com we get tons of links from low (or no) page authority websites, and I'm wondering what the crawl rate of those links looks like. I know Google pulls in the web at an astonishing rate, but I'd imagine they aren't re-crawling lower PA very frequently.Are they discovering these links a week after they're posted? A month? More? I spent a while looking around for histograms of actual crawl rates and found surprisingly little. I'd love to see average crawl rate by Domain or Page Authority if that exists anywhere.
